So uh, Gayle was sprinting towards goal while Skyrtel and Lallana ball watched and got the easy goal.

I don't understand why our guys aren't thinking about a rebound or deflection or anything. Offenseive guys do it all the time.

If we didn't have so many ball-watchers, perhaps we'd play better defense?

ETA - Between Balo and our defense, I think a lack of anticipation is one of our biggest problems.

I agree with your point on anticipation.

Lambert is playing pretty well minus that one easy give away. Also, the midfield doesn't look like it is too bad today. Only thing I have noticed in the midfield is that Coutinho looks tiny and is getting pushed around.

And I'm not sure if any of Cou's cute/incisive passes have gotten through the defender. I'm a few minutes behind in the game, but I can remember 4 or 5 blocked by the defender and none that made it through.

I agree. Gerrard is so hit or miss with his passes and play in general he is hurting us. I hate saying that.

The most exciting thing so far is that Lambert is ALWAYS around the goal. And he is a big guy... I never noticed just HOW big until this match. Lol

I'm actually starting to get a little concerned about relegation if this crap keeps up. no one wants to step up.

eta - ok. I've exhaled now. relegation won't happen. they get into the opposing third then don't seem to know what to do from then on.

Yeah, I am beginning to think that although Rogers' tactics are proven, his player evaluation is a bit flawed when it comes to realizing who can excel and in what position. The top 2 or 3 players is obvious, but with both of them hurt... He seems lost.

I will give him credit for rolling the dice and going for broke for a win. Only issue i take with that is our back line isn't reliable when we are protecting them, much less when we abandon them. I think if we can have a healthy Studge and Balo, we can have success. That back four is imperatice to fix though.

I'm not surprised by this result at all, though I did let myself have hope after the first few minutes...

I'm undecided on Rodgers, but his choices in the market are definitely suspect... Everyone gets some wrong and I didnt/don't have a huge issue with anyone he bought (yeah, Lovren in retrospect and the price of Lallana)... It's more what he didn't buy. I like the young guys and think they'll be fine, but his arrogance to think he can turn them into a bunch of Sterlings right away is off putting... IMO, if he stays, we need a strong DOF who is in charge of transfers... Let him coach..

He also has the unenviable task as the manager that has to bench Gerrard at times, but if he doesn't, it will contribute to his own downfall...

I am sick of shitty defense, BR is obviously not the manager to fix out back four. We let more than our best player go with Suarez, we let our engine go and BR was given a ton of money to replace him and this is the product we get? If I'm John Henry this might be the opportunity he needs to go with new leadership on the pitch. My problem is in January are we really going to let Rodger's spend more money? I almost can't bear the thought of that scenario.

frick everyone and everything about this club. Worthless, all of them. From the top down I'm fricking embarrassed to be a Liverpool fan. Everyone in that team outside of lambert and maybe Cou can frick themselves. No one cares, no one tries, it's sickening. Gerrard is done, he needs to be out of the starting 11.

Yep, two error prone CBs and no DM to break up play in front of them... Originally, I thought Lovren was being bought to replace Skrtel, not partner with him... Again, puzzling by BR..

I don't see how this will change this season and our only hope is for Studge to get and stay healthy and outscore opponents... I also am skeptical to hand any significant amount of money to BR in Jan.

I'd also like to see Kolo/Sakho get a run of games.... It can't be any fricking worse...

The funny thing is, I got out of bed this morning with the same feeling as going to work... Not something I wanted to do, more like I just had to...

Honest question fellas. If not BR who? If the rumors are true John Henry has been talked out of firing BR twice. If he pulls the trigger who do you think is the man for the job? I love this club and I'm bias but I think with the Anfield expansion and our young talent now is the time to build here but we can't screw around and if Rodger's can't cut it we need to move now. Look at those assholes at United, Moyes couldn't do the job and they went out and got a proven commodity in a heartbeat. I'm sorry but Im really pissed about the product I'm seeing and I might be over reacting but I got no place else to go.

I'd like to think Rodgers has bought himself some time and injuries have hurt us... But, if they do decide to pull the trigger... I think you have to make De Boer, Klopp and Simeone turn you down... Rafa is also looming out there, but he'd be further down the list at this point for me.. Though, I wonder how he'd have fared with competent owners..

Edit: Also, I think it's more than replacing BR, it's about putting a management structure in place.. Something that FSG originally wanted, but compromised in hiring Rodgers...

Don't worry we'll be happy to act as a buffer for you. And for fricks sake you guys chill out. You had one of the best striker combos in the world, guys with true understanding of the game AND immense talent. Right now you have neither. Not just going to keep on playing at the dominant level you were at when you lose the vast majority of your attack.

I definitely think Rodgers has bought some time due to the influx of new players and injuries. That being said he better show improvement or the three you mentioned will be getting calls.
