Sorry all... Quick reaction time to horseshite when I first see it.

Hopefully we can get some help down the stretch though. That will be a tough way to miss out on top 4 if it stands this way.

I don't know how Balotelli doesn't see the field more than he does. The front end is just flat better with him on, and he doesn't walk around any less than Suarez did. It infuriates me to no end.

Been saying since day 1, BR's insistence on a single striker is killing us. invert that 2-1 in attack to a 1-2 and play through Cou. We do that anyway.

I just think Rodgers thinks that Sturridge will score wonder goals for us again like last year but him being alone and with out anyone to take pressure off him is killing him. We just had an off day and United was on. I'm not worried about us finding our form again. We have a really quality group of guys so I see us bouncing back from this and playing at the same form from January. I also wouldn't mind us placing 5th this season and playing in Europa next season. I know I might get backlash from this statement but I just don't see us ready for champions league yet but I think Europa would be nice

I dont disagree with your reasoning at all, but I want that top 4 purse. 2 straight champions league appearances does wonders for attracting transfer targets.

Glad to see that I am not alone in my thoughts yet again.

Sucks having no fellow fans nearby.

I think a Sterling is wasted as a wb, but I see why Rogers plays him there... He should be up in the attack...

I was worried about this match after Swansea and I'm concerned about the next few matches too, if we don't find form quickly..

I'm not sure what we should do, formation wise, for the rest of the season..

man, that Lallana miss was huge.. sorry, was just watching the highlights again

Just watched it again myself. No clue on earth how he doesn't put that on face. He's been SO disappointing lately.

It's a much different match if he converts that...

Oh well, luckily (or not) I have too much stuff going on in my life to dwell on this right now..

Not to sound like a broken record... ah to hell with it.

TWO STRIKER FORMATION could solve this problem.

Gotta disagree with you there - Suarez had a few petulant moments, but was usually very agressive in pressing and worked hard almost all of the time.

That type of thing doesn't come naturally to Balo - and you can see him suddenly think of what he had to do and start running - but that second of it kicking in ruins the press.

I do agree that I would like to see more two striker starting line ups. We need to give him a run of games to see if he will make it - his wages are way too high to carry him as a sub another year.

Speaking of wages - if we drop the wages for Stevie, Johnson, and Balo - that's what, 450k a week we are saving? Hope we can put that towards a world class talent or two during the summer - problem is that without CL, it will be even harder to lure them in. Hell, we had CL last summer and whiffed on everyone of that caliber.

I missed that earlier... Yeah, there aren't many harder working CFs than Luis..

Regardless of where we finish, it will be interesting to see out player recruitment this summer... I think we really need to focus on those talents on the cusp of being very good.. Not so much promising youngsters, but some more seasoned players on the verge of breaking through...

To spend our time on the supposed world class talents is probably a waste of time and not very good use of our money...

On Sterling, no way he's worth £150k/wk... But maybe we pay it, I'll let the club decide.. I for one don't think he's irreplaceable and I'd offer him to RM as long as Varane was part of the deal (and £)... Turn around a spend the difference on someone like Depay or let Markovic/Ibe step up...

Dude, walks around as much as Suarez? I like Balotelli and want him to play more but Suarez was probably the most aggressive, uptempo, pressing forward the league has ever seen.

He was a fricking maniac up front and that is why everyone hates him in the stands but all the players love him. They say he was exactly the same in training. 1000% balls to the wall every time he was on the pitch.

The Sturridge/Balo partnership hasn't been given a fair shot at all. Rogers needs to quit letting Sterling hold him by the balls and bench him if necessary. If he's going to have these 1 dimensional games where he can't even complete 5 yard passes, he better watch the frick out or he's going to be the next Aaron Lennon.

Balotelli holds the ball up better than Sturridge, I want to see them playing off each other with Cou in the mix. Balotelli, despite his reputation is a relatively good distributor up there and just needs the chance. He's given great effort most of his last appearances.

I would run around naked in the street. I can't see this happening though. Sakho would be a great pull for him but he's too good to be playing for us. Then again Sakho is too good to be playing for us too....

He was absolutely fantastic against the Mancs.

Sakho is criminally underrated. I'd be down to give him the armband TBH.

When you think someone at this present time is too good to be playing with Liverpool, just remember this.
Liverpool: 5 European Cup/Champions League trophies.
Man U + Chelsea + Arsenal: 4 European Cup/Champions League trophies.

Barely one at that...

If we're really being honest.
