Some buddies invited me to go on a trip with them this weekend. I really want to go but I need to be off the boat by noon to make it back in town. I don't want to go and make them finish fishing. So my question is what time do you usually finish up?

Know the guide and why type of fishing you will be doing?

i would think noon is about average...depends if you hit them hard early for limits. it really depends on how hard your friends/guide push to get the fish. If you being off by noon is super important, i wouldnt bank on it (get off/clean fish/leave). dont mess other peoples stuff up.

I'd ask your buddies. Tell them your plans and ask if they've been out with the guide before.

I'd imagine that you will be back by noon, but theres a chance you won't get your share of fish from the dock

I've been back for 9:45. And I've been back for 2-3 pm. Depends on the captain and the fishing that day.

Man I have guys like this that try to fish with me. Nothing is more annoying than having to rush to get in so that Billy can go home and suck up to his wife/boss, etc.

ETA: It also sucks that you leave the guys to clean up everything and get you your fish later.

Just swim back at 11:30am. Dont ruin your buddies trip. Or atleast arrange being dropped off before hand.

If you cant fully commit then dont go unless your crew just absolutely insists that you go and genuinely dont care

And letting you clean the boat, do everything yourself. It's great!

If it's a guided trip I doubt there is that much to clean up. Some guides run half day charters...

Just talk to your buds and get their feel, but don't push it if they are reluctant

Don't even ask. By asking you then are putting them in a spot where they feel dickish for telling you not to go. Just don't go if you don't have all day.

Don't go if you can not commit your day. Don't be that guy...

What if y'all found a bale of cocaine floating. Are you telling me you are going to ask them to bring you back by noon?
