re: Paddlepalooza 2015 - SpeckledTiger
They're currently 63 tickets short of even breaking even on cost and 163 tickets short of their expected goal. Tickets are $10/each. re: Bill would pay gun owners to hand over assault weapons - SpeckledTiger
A tax credit means you get to deduct $2000 from your taxable income, right? Meaning you actually pocket something like $500, yes? I'm not an accountant so don't condemn me for bad arithmetic.
no. a credit is equivalent to taxes paid. so if you already get a refund, it would be a $2k...

Any Golden Meadow or Fourchon kayak reports? - SpeckledTiger
I might try to make a trip down south on Sunday in the kayak. Anyone been lately to either of these spots? We've caught decent trout this time of year on the edges of catfish lake in previous years but I've not been fishing in nearly a year so I'm not sure if I want to spend that much time paddling....

re: Cheap AR 15 ProMag - SpeckledTiger
I know PMAGs are better but for $5/each for a ProMag, I figure they'll be good enough for now. Reselling shouldn't be an issue for the price I'm paying. Especially when things go into panic mode again....

Cheap AR 15 ProMag - SpeckledTiger
Thought I'd leave this here. Getting my first AR tomorrow, so I stocked up on mags. How many do most bring on an average range session? [link=(http://www.cdnnsports.com/catalogsearch/result/?order=relevance&dir=desc&q=promag+ar+15)]CDNN Sports ProMag Sale[/link]...
You should put the intended destination as the return address. Then drop the letter in the mail without a stamp. I tested this in college and it worked (BR to Mississippi). Wonder if they fixed that.
They haven't. Sent three tests out last month and all arrived within 3 busines...

re: Baton Rouge Gun Buyback - February 21 (OBGT) - SpeckledTiger
A lot of the guns that are turned in will be broken-ass shit, anyway.
The one I'm bringing in is. It's an old Saturday night special revolver from the 50's or 60's best I can tell. The barrel spins freely and it costs more to fix than it's worth and from the stories I've read onlin...

re: Used auto parts - SpeckledTiger
just to give an update...did some more digging and found a revision had been issued to the N23 recall process but since the new problem wasn't "safety related" Chrysler wasn't required to issue a second recall. re: Got the scare of my life today. - SpeckledTiger
I went through a windshield to my shoulders back in '05 when a 19 year old had a "diabetic spell", passed out and crossed over the line on siegen lane. 1/4" in either direction and I don't live more than 5 minutes. I don't complain about many real life issues these days. Nothing really seems worth w...
