re: Gun Info Needed - SpeckledTiger
The regulation police models came standard with those grips, others were parts of special runs, and others were after market. I knew it's not a PR model because the serial number is not on the front strap. ...

Gun Info Needed - SpeckledTiger
A friend of mine wanted me to look into on an old revolver that she found in family storage. From what I can tell it's an old S&W .32 long Hand Ejector. The last patent date on the barrel is Dec 29, 1914. It's a 5 screw I-frame, with extended wooden handle (nut sure if it's stock or aftermarket), si...

re: Official: Purdue QB transferring to LSU - SpeckledTiger
Something ain't right especially if Cam freaking Cameron can't develop one...
How long do you think it should take to develop a QB? If Harris does well this season, or at the least shows marked improvement, it could be said he's done a fine job at developing his QB. Jennings wasn't...

re: How many married OTers have seperate bank accounts? - SpeckledTiger
We keep our money separate. I pay the mortgage and utilities (I owned the house when we met). She pays groceries, going out to dinner, drinks, concerts and vacations. If we buy something for the house like a fridge then we split it 50-50. Works great. I dont have to ask to buy something and d...

re: Kayakers of the OB - Kayak Canopy - WYBI? - SpeckledTiger
wouldn't buy. Same issue with fishing and also, it seems too narrow to be effective even if just out paddling. It would likely only help between say 11:30 and 1 when the sun is highest. You'll still get plenty of sun before and after. People have been trying to design this type of product for years,...

re: Smith & Wesson Revamping Triggers on M&Ps - SpeckledTiger
I've shot both recently, carry the Shield and shoot it at least 2-300 rounds a month. The Shield trigger is FAR, FAR better than the full size M&P trigger. Now, the shield can still be improved, but as a stock trigger, I've got no complaints....

I'm thinking he's wrong on that. A LSP officer/instructor told me "if you're at a restaurant and want to have a few, just put your weapon in the console. Remove your holster too just to avoid any extra questioning."...

A manual inflate life vest. They are very comfortable and they don't take up much space. You can get them for less than $75. You never know when you'll get a cramp or get caught in an unexpected current....
