Aquitaine

Not a huge french guy, but thoroughly enjoyed it when I was there

For something casual, hit up Penguin Pizza

Pretty solid beer selection and duck confit pizza is the tits. Also have one with butternut squash sauce, leeks and goat cheese

Giacomo's was a great Italian/Seafood place.
Get some Italian in the North End. There are plenty of places for both pasta and pizza.
Chinese food in China town was a cool way to mix it up one night. It was one of those things where we didn't even really know what we were ordering and were one of two white families in the restaurant. It was great.
If the Sox are in town spend one night at Fenway and get a Fenway Frank.

Also if you're a beer drinker, Harpoon and Sam Adams breweries are both there.

If you're near Fenway, hit up Baseball Tavern. I'm assuming you are an LSU fan. That's a big LSU bar.

Manager treated us well when I was in for Yankees game last August

We tried to watch one of the Regional games there but they didn't have it on.

They do always have Abita Amber on tap though apparently. Actually saw a good bit of Abita beer up there. Was kinda surprised.

yeah you'd be surprised how far Abita's reach is. Was in NY last summer (not the city) and one of the local grocery stores had a few different kinds

Union Oyster House serves a fine chowder and has a neat raw bar for clams and oysters.

Rino's Place

Absolutely must go to Rino's. Incredible from scratch Italian. Lobster ravioli FTW.

I have to disagree with what another poster said about eating in Chinatown. We did Dim Sum at one of the most popular places, and while some items were tasty, most of them were terrible and we had no way of knowing what the heck we were eating due to the fact that no one who worked there spoke english. Would have been a much better experience with some direction.

Neptune Oyster-hot lobster roll with butter and a dozen wellfleet oysters. Multiple beers.

Best lunch I've ever had.

Here are two threads for you:

I responded in the 2nd thread with all the places I went. As others have mentioned already, Giacomos and Neptune Oyster are great. Those were my favorite places.

Enjoy

I watched the LSU/Florida game there this past year the day before the Saints played at New England. Really fun spot to watch a game.

Neptune is a real bastard to get into, unless you want to wait for 3+ hours.

Get there right before they open for lunch. I think we got there around 11:20 one day, and there was already a line waiting for them to open, but when they opened, we sat down right away. Great meal

Every time I have been - mostly Summer - I have never had a problem (more than a 30 minute wait).

find a good lobster place (lobster rolls) even if you have to drive 45 minutes to Maine or Cape Cod
