My wife is planning a golf tournament for her company (in the energy corridor). What are the TD golfers' suggestions?

I gave her this list in order of preference where I would want to play:

1. Black Horse
2. River Ridge
3. Cypresswood
4. Wildcat (but frick wildcat, both courses are hard as hell)

I know there are more nice courses, but my poor arse can't afford to play there. TIA

River Ridge is actually in Sealy but a very good value and they have 27 holes. usually in great shape and no houses on course. about 25 minutes from downtown houston

haha sorry, bro. Got married, buying a house tomorrow, life's been crazy.

On a lighter note, I shot 86 twice this month. Previous low was 90.

Both Black Horse and River Ridge are good courses for a corporate tournament.

You will get a better value for your dollar at River Ridge.

Cypresswood is not a bad corporate outing but it is in a relatively bad location for most people coming from or returning to the energy corridor. If she is planning in the Spring/Tomball area, Augusta Pines is a nice place too.

cypress lakes up 290 is similar to blackhorse ... wouldn't be horrible since you can take the beltway up to 290 ...

memorial has tournaments every tuesday ... not sure how big they are, tho ...

Those are all good bets. Black Horse is always a good option.

You also have:

Lakeside
Falcon Point
Meadowbrooke Farms
Cinco Ranch
Bear Creek - Masters

Terrible for a tournament due to a lack of inside/outside area to host the event.

Terrible shape right now. Hosting there would make you look cheap.

I would say if it's a big company tourn. BlackHorse if not so much, Cypress Lakes would be a cool spot

Honestly, I haven't played Cinco or Bear Creek in 10+ years.

If it were me running the tournament, I would go with(in order):

1. Meadowbrooke Farms
2. Blackhorse
3. Lakeside

ETA: Wildcat during the summer is a bitch since there are no trees. It's either hot as frick or too windy.

ETA2: Also, it helps if you say how big the tournament will be. Blackhorse will be more adept to hosting a larger crowd since there are 2 courses.

What's Houston Oaks like now? I know they had a lot of work done out there and pushing to host events. They've fancied up the club and all but not sure about the courses.
