I forgot to bring both my infant daughter to daycare, and grade schools daughters to school, realizing only when I got to work. Mind must have been overwhelmed with work. Figured it out and went back to school/daycare. DA is overcharging this guy.

You're telling me an infant and an elementary aged girl were both so silent that you had no idea that they were in the car with you?

Accidentally driving to work instead of the daycare is not the same as forgetting you have a child in the car with you. That's the issue I have with all of these incidents and the people claiming it could happen to anyone. I don't believe that.

I think the worst that could happen is you took the freeway to go to work instead of the highway to go to daycare. You took the left turn to go to Grandma's house when you were supposed to take the right turn to go to the elementary school.

Not realizing you have your own flesh and blood in the car is the utmost stupidity that deserves the death penalty or criminal charges that deserve the death penalty..

When my kids fall asleep on the way home, I am tired already and I forget they are in there. So when I get home sometimes I'll forget they are in the car until I go to get out. Only once have I left them in there but I remember maybe 5 minutes later and it wasn't a hot day.

There is no way you go all day. I think about my kids every few minutes and wonder how they are. You can't go all day and "forget".

I have a lot of shite going on in my life and my days are filled with stress between work, school at night, and family drama. That's my qualification of saying "it could happen".

Even with all the shite going on in my life, I never have forgotten about my son being in the car. And trust me, I'm far from being parent of the year and have had many, many chances to do it pulling 17 hour days from leaving driveway in the morning till coming back to it at night. And oh yeah, my job entails deadlines every single day.

I just have a hard time imagining somebody else with less on their plate could just forget.

Oh my god. This is not someone who forgot. Is everyone ignoring the evidence? Is it possible that someone could forget, yes. But this guy has too many other circumstances that make this a different case. I don't understand how people are still even using the word "forget". It is irrelevant at this point.

Seems like more warrants and details issued daily. The detective said on stand they've only "scratched the surface."

Cooper Harris Death

COBB COUNTY, Ga. — A key witness says he does not believe Ross Harris intentionally killed his son in a hot SUV.

Leonard Madden said he could not believe a judge ordered Harris held without bond on murder charges in the death of a his 22-month-old son, Cooper.

Madden was thrust into the high-profile case when he came out of a restaurant and was one of the first people to see Harris take his dead son out of his SUV.

He told Channel 2’s Ross Cavitt the experience will forever cement his belief that Cooper Harris death was a tragic accident.

“His original reaction was just too organic for it to have been planned. His cries of desperation and passion and hurt, they were too heartfelt,” Madden said.

Madden testified to that during last week’s probable cause hearing as a defense hearing. He was mostly unaware of the explosive testimony that preceded his.

A detective testified about Harris’ suspicious actions before and after his son’s death and accused the father of sexting women while his child was dying inside his SUV. The detective also said that Harris’ wife, Leanna Harris, was unemotional and made strange statements after learning Cooper had died.

Madden said none of that proves that Ross Harris murdered his child.

“I believe it was just a terrible and grave accident, however, I do not believe it was done intentionally,” Madden said.

Prosecutors disagree. Ross Harris remains jailed under charges that do not require malice, police seem to believe this was an intentional act.

“The evidence is the evidence. Accusation is accusation and speculation is speculation. I can only go off what I witnessed,” Madden said.

Madden will likely become a key witness if the case goes to trial.

Tuesday morning, Leanna Harris visited her husband at the Cobb County Jail for about half an hour. She has publicly supported her husband.
Earlier this week, police released search warrants connected to the case, which focused on family medical records and a search of their Marietta home.

The 30-year-old dietitian, who two years ago moved to Georgia from Tuscaloosa, Ala., has not been charged with any crime. But police have disclosed that, like her husband, she had researched children dying in hot vehicles prior to her son Cooper’s death, telling officers it was her “worst fear.” On average, 38 kids die each year after being trapped inside automobiles, according to KidsAndCars.org.

Investigators described her behavior the day of her son Cooper’s death as odd, if not suspicious.

When informed by workers at her son’s day care facility that Cooper had never been dropped off, she calmly responded, “Ross must have left him in the car. There’s no other explanation,” according to Cobb County Police Det. Phil Stoddard’s testimony Thursday.

Then, when reunited with her husband at police headquarters after he had been charged with murder, Leanna Harris asked him, “Did you say too much?” according to Stoddard.

“There isn’t enough to make her a co-conspirator … yet,” said criminal defense lawyer Esther Panitch.

If these two are actually innocent, my god I couldn't imagine what they are going through.

I don't think they're innocent but holy shite if they are...WOW!!

Let's just say she's completely innocent.

1. You lose you son in a very horryfying way.
2. You find out it's your husbands fault.
3. You find out he's a scumbag, sexting other women, a 17 year old at that.
4. Then you find out he looks like he might have killed your son on purpose and he's a murderer.
5. In one day you have lost your son and husband.
6. You're alone now in the shittiest way possible.
