called albertsons in Denham Springs yesterday and they quoted me for a keg of natty @ 80 bucks.....
gotta be something cheaper than that right?
back in my last couple of hard core tailgating years kegs were around 45 for natty and maybe 75 for the good stuff.....what the hell happened in the past 5 years????

What do you consider the "good stuff"?

I was using it as a price reference.....and fwiw it's for an event we'really putting on, and all our guests will be drinking for free, so they'll b just fine drinking whatever I buy

I wouldn't be.

I'd drink it if it were free.

Sounds like a good time.

Beer snobs out in full force I see.

Get Natty and tell everyone its something else. Years back at my brother's wedding i got trashed on draft beer they had there. I asked him a few days later what they had tapped and he told me milwaukee's best

Beer snobs? What adult wants to drink draft keystone light? No thanks. I'll spend a few dollars and make a small ice chest to bring to the event. Even if it's filled with shitty abita amber, it's better than the cheapest keg in BR.

Yea, it's snobby to turn your nose up to free beer at an event. Sorry to burst your bubble.

then I'm a snobby mother fricker. I've turned my nose up to free beer, free liquor and free food.

I know. But as long as you admit it, I have no issue with it.

Fuel costs primarily. And it was about 8-9 years ago they were. $50

I don't think it's snobby to BYOB
If it was food and someone had a dietary restriction or was just flat out picky, people wouldn't bat an eye. Why is drink different?
FWIW, I'd MUCH rather someone decline what I'm serving to drink than to turn their nose up at my food because they're picky. Alcoholic beverages are something almost everyone is picky about. Some people only drink vodka.. some only drink stouts.. some only drink wine.. etc.
As a female, I know tons of women who only drink fruity cocktails. It's much harder to accommodate someone when it comes to drinks, so there's nothing wrong with deciding you don't like Keystone and bringing your own beer.
I bring an ice chest to a lot of events because you never know what will be there. Alcoholic beverages are sensitive things for people.

I didn't say that. Look at the first reply in this thread and tell me that it isn't snobby.
ETA: All the guys saying they would turn down the OP's provided beer drink beer. They are just "too good" for what the OP is providing.
