Would you vote for a bill which made homelessness i.e. sleeping on the streets, in parks, begging for money, etc... illegal activities?

Would it be ok with you if the police rounded up the homeless and threw them in jail? Maybe create new jails just for homeless offenders?

Pros and cons list?

Screw 'em. Treat 'em like stray dogs and cats is what I say. Put them in a shelter, after 3 or 4 days, if nobody adopts them, put them down. That will both incentivize people to not be homeless and lessen the population of homeless less-than-people.

Are you retarded? And by that, I mean, are you mentally handicapped? Should we create a law that makes you illegal?

exactly.

As for the tax problem - put them in privatized prison work camps. No need to raise taxes.

You could if you wanted. I'm a vigilante rebel, what's another law to break? The government is after me anyway.

Put them in concentration camps until they can be a proper consumer.

I have done a lot of work with the Homeless, established a shelter in Pensacola. It is a tough issue. There are those you can assist who will regain self sufficiency, there are those who may have a developmental disorder or mental illness and will always need assistance with decision making and organization, but who can with guidance subsist on their income, be it disability or state assistance with menial part time employment, i.e. Goodwill stores are good example.

Then there is a population who simply do not wish to live in an organized society.

Having worked Veteran Homelessness very hard, in more cases than not, the guy standing on the side of the road saying he is a Veteran needing assistance is NOT. Yes there are many Homeless who are Veterans but there are more who claim to be who are not.

It is a tough issue.
