Happy Father's Day

My father wasn't around much except to take me hunting and fishing.
Thank God he did that.
Mrs House is in Europe. Taking baby house to dad's tomorrow for breakfast. Thankfully my dad has made an effort the last few years. Here's how I see him.
Kind and stern. Tender and tough. Faithfully firm. Patiently urgent. Eagerly tolerant. Softly shouting.
We have had our fights. They were really bad. I love that ole man though.

I was raised by my stepdad but to me he's my daddy. Never a more patient and teaching man in the world, never a lot to say but he always means it when he speaks. Love you Pop

Sounds similar to my situation, but I love the guy.
I honestly just think we are too much of the same person, so if we get off of talking hunting, fishing, or LSU sports we butt heads.
He did teach me one valuable thing when I was 17 though... Never bow up to an older man. I got hit with a combo I never even saw coming

This is my first Father's Day without my dad. I really miss him as he was a truly great man.
My kids (who both came downstairs telling me happy Father's Day) will definitely help me though.

Happy Father's day to the OB.
LSUCouyon and I just got back from a fishing trip down in Delacroix. I am thankful we are as close of friends as we are. We had a great time and I am already looking forward to our next adventure!

Gonna try to have happy father's day at dinner with daughter and grandson. Hard this morning though. First father's day without my son since he made me a father 35 years ago. His mom and I bout to head to cemetary to spend a while there.
