Casual fans posting here because of the worlds biggest event for the sport?

Y'all bitch that people don't appreciate the sport in the US, then bitch when people actually watch.

If you appreciate the sport and want to post here, that's great, and encouraged.

If you're going to post stupid shite like kashonly and tell us how we can fix the game or how we would be dominant if Lebron played soccer, well, you can f off. That's who he's referring to.

Soccer should eliminate offsides if they ever want Americans to watch.

About issues that affect the game's popularity in the the US?

I actually like Soccer, but this board is full of elitism its laughable.

Post "stupid shite" in the golf thread and we'd laugh at you and welcome you.

The problem is people 'fixing' the game with stupid ideas. Once the USMNT starts playing, I expect dozens of threads that are full-retard

Why can't legitimate rules discussions be had?

What if someone came in saying to make the hole bigger so that there'd be more birdies and eagles, thus making the game more exciting

Because they're not legitimate. They're "US sports do this, so soccer should do this or soccer's gay".

Everybody needs to calm down.

This thread wasn't necessary at all and it will just lead to more people attempting to troll the board.

Why can't people just watch, make their stupid comments in thread, and accept that their idea every 4 years is stupid and move the frick on.

It's one thing to watch and have an appreciation of the game. It's another to try to change board rules and give idiotic "advice" about a sport you barely watch. Think about it this way, if you have this "brilliant" idea and it a Tuvalu was a good idea, wouldn't people who watch it year in and year out already have thought about it?!

It can, and it has.

Come on look at the kashonky thread and the drawing and all that and tell me how that's a legitimate discussion.

Let me tell you how I think golf could become more popular in the US.

First, get rid of driving. What's the point?

Just make it a chip and putt competition.

Make the goal 5 times bigger and give -5 strokes for a hole in one.

If you chip it in on birdie without the ball touching the green first then you get -2 strokes.

Add machine guns. Everyone likes machine guns. Golf would be better if someone's life was on the line.

Make women golf naked.

Definitely not. But these suggestions come at the expense of very little understanding of the game as a whole. What they want to see is a different sport, as evidenced by their suggestions.

No. As you can see in Kash's thread, a legitimate discussion is now taking place. Why? The posters who are there in good faith are ignoring Kash's bullshite OP.

Most of the people who start these threads on here want soccer to become a different sport. It would be like us going into a golf discussion and arguing for the entire stroke system to be redone.

Y'all complain that your sport isn't popular enough in the US. Then when the noobs want to watch you complain that they aren't smart enough to post in your almighty threads over here.
