Work as a consultant for a really small firm, we need a file sharing program/site that allows us to upload files/documents and for every user (less than 10) to be able to add/delete/edit documents.

I've used IDrive, but you have to use links to share files and the links expire.

We need simple, no links for access, each user logs in and has the ability to add/delete/edit files and folders. Don't mind paying, but want simple and functional.

Thanks for the help!

If you had your email through google, Drive would be a no-brainer since you'd already have accounts.

Dropbox is like Drive but probably a little better just less storage and not as organized if you will be sharing within a group. There are plenty of other FREE services like those.

Client just sent me a link from sharefile which is pretty cool but $60 a month for your needs.

I ended up replacing our server with a NAS that has native software for remotely accessing the machine either through a web browser or a virtual network connection. No monthly service but cost about $700.

What kind of files?

Google drive integrates with google docs if you plan to share spreadsheets, docs, etc.

no webdav is a standard for sharing files on the internet, its like FTP but not really. Don't go that route, it can be really complicated. or get complicated.

dropbox or google drive is what I would use.

if everyone is in the same office, you can just use windows shared folders. Would work ok with 10 ppl. But you might be better off just mapping your folders to dropbox and using it.

yes. This is the best answer. Bittorent Sync could do the OP well.

We use dropbox. We have not had an issue and we have used it for almost two years.

It is pretty awesome, and very secure. You need a secret code for access, and it's stored locally(just like P2P torrenting). There's no middle man that can access you're data, it's available for mobile, and there's not storage limit. It's great if you have a computer that you can treat as a file server, but if you need complete back ups use both drive and Sync just for good measure.

I can't believe I'd never considered p2p for remote file sharing. I already downloaded and am about to start playing around with it. Thanks for the link
