I'm not defending his actions, but people often try and play the innocent victim in these situations.

Charlie is wrong. Blowing off police isn't looked at favorably by a judge, but if he says he was waiting on his lawyer it won't matter.

Charlie brought that up as well. He says he never said Jalen shouldn't show up without a lawyer. It just looks bad for Jalen that they gave him plenty of time to meet with police, with or without a lawyer, and didn't do it.
