I've been in the market for (2) 4000 or 5000 series spinning reels for inshore & freshwater in $100 range. Is this a deal not to pass up?

I spent $500 for my GPS/depth finder. Literally 20 minutes after I click "buy", I check the mail and it's $400 from Overtons.

Let me know how that reel is Doc. Looking to get another one.

How does the battle compare to the fierce. I bought a fierce 4000 a few months back. I like it, smooth but only con is its a little heavy.

I got a couple Battle 3000s recently (combos). When I took my daughter fishing last week she noticed that they were nicer and smoother and would not use my old poles. Might have to buy more.

That's a good deal.

We have a few Penn Battles, but they're smaller than a 4000. Pretty nice reels.

Don't have it at home to look at though.

That's a nice deal for the money, but if it were me, I'd go smaller for inshore and fresh.

ETA: I think we paid $110 for our combo's at BPS.
