I heard good things about these two places last summer. Are they still places to check out? Hoping to make a trip to NOLA soon and looking to possibly eat at one of these locations.

Plenty of Peche threads, boss. Hit the small plates hard, get the crudo, and whole fish for the table.

yep and there is a reason for that…they deliver. you should look into booking your reservation at least a week in advance if you want to eat at a decent hour…I've tried many small plates and 2 entrees (skirt steak + Smothered catfish), and everything has been awesome

With the utmost respect, do you ever look at your own board?

Peche hottest thing in NO right now. It's a zoo every night.. I've been to SoBu twice and enjoyed it each time.

Peche just won James Beard for Best New Restrnt, so its safe to say its still "hot."

SoBou wouldnt be close to the top for places to go in NOLA on a multiple day trip.

Peche, La Boca, August Herbsaint, Domenica, Couchon, Root/Square Root

Thumbs up on Peche. With all of the places to eat in Nawlins, I find myself hitting that place up multiple times. People keep saying how difficult it is to get into, but you merely have to go mid afternoon with plenty of seats available. Same great menu all day and it was only about 1/5 full when I went mid afternoon this week.
