Can somebody explain Carney? Wtf did this guy do to deserve induction?
2nd most points in franchise history probably factored in the decision. Just a guess.

if Archie deserved it Brooks even more. Brooks is a clear cut #2 Saints QB all time. no doubt about it.

More than OJ? He killed 2 people. Rae Carruth killed a pregnant woman. Did Brooks have his way with your wife or sister?

Brooks belongs in there. That game against the 49ers was magical. When he sucked, I doubt he was smiling on the inside.
Carney cannot be forgiven for Jacksonville.

Didn't matter anyway. He embodies the Saints' first 40 years in a nutshell for that play alone.

For me, Aaron Brooks was always a symbol of hope. Every year I'd look at our roster and think this was the year we went all the way as long as Brooks could improve.
He'd have moments of brilliance followed by moments of maddening stupidity, but the talent was there and you hoped one day it would just click.
He could throw the ball, that's for sure and while his boneheaded plays are numerous, his playoff win against the Rams was a great feeling.
So I'd say a well deserved spot for the guy.

Aaron Brooks and Hall of Fame should never be used in the same sentence. I'll never forget seeing his stupid grin after throwing interceptions. He thought it was the funniest damn thing.
Anyone remember Richard Todd ? He would say "frick it" after throwing an interception.

The 2000 season is what made me a Saints fan.

Been a Saints fan since the early 80s, but that 2000 team remains one of my favorite -- and Brooks was a big part of that.
The Niners game where he evaded a sure sack, spun, rolled out and fired a rocket TD to Willie Jackson in triple coverage was one of the most amazing things I'd seen a Saint do.
Also, some of the throws he made in the playoff game vs. the Rams (specifically the Robert Wilson TD and the Willie Jackson tds,) were beauties. He was maddening at times, but when he was on his game, he was special.
He will always be a Saint to me, I'm grateful for his contributions (even the backward pass) and I'll cheer him loudly when he's presented in the Dome.

Yep...same here!

It was an obviously sarcastic comment in response to the other guy saying how much he hated Brooks. You know, as if to say that there are bigger things out there to hate a person over than throwing interceptions or not playing as well as we might have hoped.
