-per an unnamed AFC personnel man

quote:

An "AFC personnel man" told CSNPhilly's Geoff Mosher Eagles UDFA rookie WR Kadron Boone was "gonna make that team." Boone did not make much of a mark at LSU playing behind Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. and Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry, but Mosher's unnamed personnel man said Boone has the skill set to fill the vacant Jason Avant role in the Eagles offense. Mosher echoed the scout's claims, saying Boone has a "good chance" to make the Eagles' roster if he can quickly pick up Chip Kelly's offense. It may be a long-shot, but Boone will be a player to keep an eye on during training camp.

He'll probably be just a special teams guy but it would be crazy if he carved out a role on offense, I hope he shows out

He did some good things here. Just not enough balls to go around.

Kelly recruited him hard while at Oregon. Kadron could end up being a weapon down the line for them.

This is just like the Russell Shepard threads a year ago. Same team and everything

Boone didn't take himself out of the draft...

The only thing similar is the team. There aren't 40 posters in here saying he's going to be a starter or have a huge year for the Eagles and that Miles just didn't know how to use him.

Not sure what you mean by that statement.

I just thought it was kind of funny that there are some similarities in the situations

After Russell went undrafted he said he took himself out of the draft in the 6th rd so the Eagles could pick him up.
The truthfulness of that statement was called into question.

Boone is much better than Shepard.

That TD catch against A&M was awesome and he lit up Georgia last season.

Boone made a lot more plays than Shep. Shep was great running the ball which we should have used more. Boone's hands were much better than Shep. When the ball went to Boone he usually caught it.

Oh, if he makes the team and has a half way decent rookie year, they will say it.

Boone is much farther along physically and with better WR skills than Shepard was. Boone can play in the NFL.

Boone was a valuable asset, just never materialized into a Beckham, Clayton, Reed or Bowe.

Didn't Shep play for the Bucs last season?

Boone is one of those players that you will always wonder what he could have been if OBJ or Landry werent ahead of him and getting all the attention. James Wright too for that matter. Hope Boone has a lot of success.
