Got a Pompano 120 and I want to look into Kayak carts to make it a little easier putting in further from parking lots/access points.

See this one on Amazon Prime which seems nice but don't know much about what to look for: LINK

Also know they can be made fairly easily for cheaper out of PVC and wheels. What do yall do?

Piggybacking on this topic, I will be fishing some areas where I will likely be jumping some levees instead of paddling all the way around. Is it worth having the carts that fit in the scuppers that you can easily store in the boat while fishing? Or is dragging these things (PA 12) across grass for 25 to 50 yards not that big of a deal. I'm going to be brand new to this, my boat drove off on another mans truck this morning .

Hobie's carts are like $200 and I really don't feel like spending that, but I wan't something that's strong, reliable, and convenient if I need it.

The hobie PAs are surprisingly easy to drag

I actually dont use one. My commander has such high sides so it just sits on my shoulder.

If I were to use one, I would just build that one.

Doc has that med money though so he probably has a 24karat remote controlled cart.

It's showing $59.99 for me, that same cart is $38.50 shipped on Ebay. I'm ordering one soon myself.

Ascend kayak cart from bass pro, it's 50$ and you can adjust the width to fit any scupper holes.

A buddy and I built this for my pirogue. I drag it in for duck hunting behind my bike.

I want something like this for launching at BSM alone. To not have to scrape yak down concrete launch once loaded. Carrying is awkward but no problem, but with one person you can only carry it by the side.

A lot of people will throw gorilla tape on the underside of their yak, prevents scratches from dragging and oyster beds.

I had a scupper hole cart, I would never buy another. The plain ones you set it on are WAY easier to use.

the other problem with a scupper hole cart is the scuppers seem to be the weakest link on a SOTK. The torque ends up cracking the scuppers, leading to leaks. A cart where you rest the boat atop some pads is the ticket.

Any suggestions for a sit on top cart for a big girl? (100lbs without rigging)

Last night I saw a modified PVC cart like the one in this thread above, but it was reinforced with wooden dowels. I am probably going to try that but I want to find wheels that are non-flat and similar to larger wheel barrow tires

This. Quite a few guys have had problems in the past with scuppers cracking, seams cracking, etc. I would definately steer clear and get a sit on top cart.

Bump to update, I bought the cart listed on the OP last week but found it for $38.50 shipped on Ebay. Came in a couple days ago, I haven't used it yet but it seems like it'll do the job and will hold up fine.
