I always add more salt, cayenne and liquid crab boil. Just taste the water. It should be just slightly too salty and spicy.

Generous crab boil in the water. Do not put seasoning after you take them out of the pot. Hate that shite

Just enough so they don't oversoak.

I always add half as much crab boil and salt as the first batch had

If you overseason it, just don't soak as long

I prefer ramping the initial amount more than recommended.
Take it from there.

I usually add about half of my initial seasoning load after the 1st batch.

You don't put salt in your boil?

Agree with other posters. Put about half of your initial seasonings. Salt too.

For second batch, use powder versus liquid boil. Never had great results adding liquid boil for second batch

I tried Swamp Fire for my last boil and added no extra salt. I found it had just the right amount of salt. Many of the other boils I have used in the past are too salty.
