It is my opinion that Loston has reached his ceiling. He showed no improvement from 12 to 13. I don't know much about Sunseri, but I'd rather take my chances with him.

Loston makes Roman Harper look like Revis in coverage.

Good to see that Bama hate is alive and well on this site.

So will Sunseri.

I don't really know theres much of a difference as far as the two go. .... And loston went undrafted.

Sunseri is just like McCarron. A product of the system and people around him. There's no way the Saints can rely on this clown to make a play on his own.

Hope he's not around in Week 1

I haven't watched a whole lot of Sunseri, but he has good instincts and is a good ST player.

I love signing players to 3 or 4 year deals that only see the field for 1 week in training camp...however they have unlimited potential that they may or may never tap into if/when their body heals for the first time in 5 years...

Loston and Freak were nothing more than players who peaked in High school against inferior competition. Give it up.

Yeah because scouts don't draft players and 40 times and all that other nonsense they base they're conclusion.

No one is saying they're a GM. I think everyone here has seen enough of this dude play to get a gauge of what kind of player he is or isn't.

It's a fifth round pick. If he's a good st player for 3-4 years, what's the problem?

The second part is the most important. The fourth and fifth(if we keep 5) safeties are more special teamers than they are backups for the position(especially the 5th guy).

If he makes this team it will be on special teams play. We don't need another safety and with Byrd, Vaccaro, and Bush it's unlikely the 5th safety would even smell the field on defense unless it's a blowout or for the other reason I won't jinx us with by saying.

Most picks after the 3rd are more for special teams with the hope they can be more.

People have really gotten spoiled with our late round offensive gems.

Love all Tigers, but you need to take off the purple and gold sunglasses. Loston was responsible for much of my cursing and frustration last year. He cannot cover, takes poor angles and has reached his peak as far as skill set. In fact, i really did not see that much improvement from his Soph to Senior year. He is a thumper who also makes critical penalties( late hits...etc). May be better off in Canada
