BOLD names are virtual locks for the final 53 IMO.

An underlined bubble player is a presumed favorite to claim the opening.

* simply indicates a drafted player or someone who was on the team a year ago who is not guaranteed there spot this year.

Camp Competition is strictly UDFA's and anyone else who is coming to camp trying to earn a spot.

Nice job. Missing a few guys but I'm going to have to find my depth chart thread and update it too. You can pull the rest from there if you'd like to.

After doing that I'll post my way too early final 53 projections. I remember last year it changed a lot from right after the draft until maybe the second or third preseason game.

Some guys I originally didn't even have making it were UDFAs Foster and Robinson. A few of those sneak in each year.

Awesome list. The toughest competitions look to be wr, lb and corner. Lotta good players in those groups

The tackle we drafted isn't on here. Probably not a good sign that I've already forgotten his name

Eta: Apologies to Tavon Rooks

Does Nick Toon even make the team? Crazy for a guy they really seemed to like this time last year to fall so far so fast.

PRob is nowhere near the bubble, nor should he be.

I am going to go out on a limb and project Coleman and Jones to beat out Meachem and Toon at WR. Maybe not Jones, but I feel Coleman makes this team for sure.

Should be 37/54.

Still, great work.

So which position will be reduced by one? The Greenie in me says that Griffin will play well enough this preseason for us to keep 2 QBs.

I also think that Humber and Ball are safe.

There are 2 cases where I can see him not making it but I don't think either is too likely.

1)Doesn't return to pre-injury form. He wouldn't be the first.

2)He's on his last year so his long term future with us is less certain than say a guy like Frederick or Sweeting or one of the Rookies. If they can play close to his level and project better long term I can see one of them beating him out.

Like I said though, not that likely.

As for what position to knock down, I can see 3: QB, WR, and DL.

We can't really afford to carry 3 QBs this year so I think it's put up or shut up for Griffin.

We normally carry 6 WRs if one of them is a special teams asset, otherwise we normally carry 5. For instance, last year we kept 5 HBs instead of our normal 4 and only kept 5 WRs because Sproles and Cadet could play special teams and none of our WRs were really good at it.

DL we only carried 7 last year and one was Tom Johnson.

We did originally carry 9 LBs into the year last year.

It varies every year but this is what we carried at every position to start the year:
QB-2
HB-5
FB-1
WR-5
TE-3
OT-4
C/G-4
DE-5
NT-2
ILB-6
OLB-3
CB-5
S-5
K-1
P-1
LS-1

I really doubt Humber or Hill are on the bubble either.
