Wow. Can't believe Loston didn't get drafted.

I know he had issues in coverage at times, and he dealt with nagging injuries...but seriously? He's a good athlete that is a sure tackler, good leader...This is kind of strange honestly.

he just was not very good. it's ok to admit that. 5 star bust, but it happens. Freak not being drafted is a bit surprising though. drug test and all.

Good players go undrafted every year. It happens.

where did scouts have him ranked for safeties?

he's a head hunter and that won't fly in the new NFL

Loston was not a bust. He was a solid player.

Huh??? Did you actually watch him play?

He's a headhunter with very poor fundamentals. The guy looks for the big hit and never wraps up on tackles.

Your rationale behind Loston being passed up, followed by your surprise at Freak being passed up confuses me. Freak was less productive than Loston and a 5* bust as far as Im concerned

He was a good player though. He has limitations but he's better than Vinnie fricking Sunseri.

he was a 5 star. he was a bust for being a 5 star recruit.
he was hurt all the time, didn't wrap up, was always targeting the head of opponents.

You people crack me up. Way too close to the situation. The NFL believes these players (Johnson, Loston) can't help them. Take off the P&G glasses.

I think that gets way overblown. He had a few missed tackles but for the most part he did a good job as an in the box safety.

They just drafted a safety from Memphis with 3 picks last season. You mean he's better than Craig Loston??

I always felt Loston could be a successful OLB in a 3-4.

He would need to put on a few lb's, but he always did a pretty good job against the run. And while his coverage skills were limited as a safety, he would do better than most OLB's, and his speed would be a definite plus.

Clearly, though, the nfl doesn't feel the same way.

In addition to stopping the myth that he was "double teamed a ton" now that 32 professional football teams passed on the opportunity to draft him 250+ times, in addition to his completely lackluster play on the field, can we finally stop referring to Anthony Johnson as freak? He has clearly done nothing to earn that nickname
