One thing that stuck out to me when they were talking about the expansion is that they were going to be able to fry things for the first time at Butcher. So that should be pretty interesting.

A friend of mine took a position recently as a chef there. She will likely change some things as she gets more comfortable there. She and her husband are very much into making charcuterie and cheeses. I'm excited to see where she goes with it.

Who pays $12 for a turkey sandwich or $8 for a hot dog with nothing on it in a place that barely has seating for 20 and is always uncomfortably crowded?

It has expanded. It looks like it tripled in size. Place was full of Jazz Festers last night.

Brosevelt, thanks for the update. Haven't been since 2009. Not planning on returning. Place is for tourists and poorboy haters. Only meat on bread I eat in NOLA that isn't a poorboy is a muffuletta.

Surprise surprise.

Nearly every post I see from you is a personal attack on someone. What's with the negative vibes?

I'm not mad.

I am generally curious to why such hatred and bad ju ju floats around this place. We are birds of a feather- we need to stick together.

Awesome. More Stein's, Casamento's, St. James and Butcher for the rest of us.

A truce indicates some sort of quarrel or battle. I never did anything to you, breh.

We should all sit down over a beer and hot dog at Butcher.
