Marinated brisket salad. Brisket marinated in olive oil, garlic, lime, onion, and parsley. Was nothing like a BBQ brisket. Salad consisted of romaine, spinach, roasted cherry tomatoes and pearl onions, charred red onion, toasted tortilla, and a chilli blue cheese dressing. Great play on a classic steak salad. The brisket was fantastic. Had nice pepper and vinegar bite to it. Classic chimichuri but with a pepper finish. Tossed it all together. No need for added salt or pepper. Portion was large. Could have made 2 meals out of it but I don't like leftover salads. For $12.99 will def order again. If you want to try something other than tacos or nachos def give it a try

I had the Red Curry Shrimp and it was pretty awful, like a frozen food section meal. The other half had the Cuban and I took a bite and it was pretty good, but I have never had a Cuban before so nothing to really compare too.

I will give the place another try once the crowd dies down, had to wait 45 minutes when we went with some friends.

Will check it out next time. To clarify, the salad wasn't anything mind blowing, but a surprise considering my previous thoughts on the place being just a happy hour and tacos joint.

Thats exactly how the place came off to me.

Also, a good amount of post college bros and frat guys mixed in.

A salad for $14.16 w/ tax + 2 or 3 dollar tip = almost $18 bucks.

And as you said, the portion size doesn't come into play because who eats a cold leftover salad the next day?

Sounds like a bad deal to me.

How long did you wait for your table?

Sat at the bar. No wait. Salad plus a beer was $18.60+$4.40 tip. Little pricey, maybe. But I'm on a PTO day so what do I care

They generally suck and are there because its new and a place "to be seen".

Ill try it again when the newness wears off. If its anything like the Nola location and how people say they go on an hour wait often, ill never go back. That food doesnt deserve an hour wait, or anything close to that

Take pics and make a thread. Especially of the guac.

I like the food there. The Mr. Biggs taco plate is a good deal for the price. Plus, pro tip -- you can drink at Olive or Twist while you wait for your table. Think the buzzers work that far away from Rum House, or they page you on your smartphone.

When else does anyone have time to go? After a four hour wait you've missed half the work day

We went Sunday and was pretty good! Cuban sandwich is huge but pretty good! Not many people in there Sunday. We got there around 2:30 or so...
