Do you eat before or after you exercise.

I eat an hour before and an immediately after (poptarts and a shake mainly) with a regular meal an hour or hour and half after that.
What you want me to link?

I do google, but I was wanting some links to separate opinions from scientific reasons.

If I don't eat before I have a weak workout.

I eat after, usually within 30 minutes. No link, but it works for me.

It doesn't matter. It's a personal preference. And can also depend on what you did the rest of the day leading up. I find most do better with some before/during workout sugar (apple, gatorade, etc.) How much depends on the intensity of the workout. Then a scoop or scoop & 1/2 of protein after. Pretty much it

Ditto. No particular reason other than I think I heard one time that your metabolism gets a boost from a workout and can essentially burn what you eat if you take your calories in within a 30 minute window.

You shouldn't eat a high glycemic food more than 30 min prior to a hard workout. Having said that. Eating one within those thirty prior is good.
Too long before and it spikes your insulin, dropping your blood glucose, and causes you to fatigue faster. If you time it right, you get the blood glucose from your food to use in your workout before your body has time to spike insulin.

After, can't eat within like 1.5 hrs before I workout. Weird I know

10:30 - Yogurt
11:15-12:30 - Gym
1:30 - Lunch
If I eat anything heavier than yogurt before, my workout is ruined.

I workout at like 5am, 4 days a week. I can't make myself eat that early. I have about half of a small(12oz) gatorade on the drive to the gym and then eat within 45 minutes of finishing my workout.

I'm usually working out as soon as I wake up in the afternoon so I can then shower, eat and get ready for work again that night. So I usually will eat a very small snack before a workout cause I'm already tired at first and no food makes me even more sluggish. The snack gives me a lil bit of energy needed for my workout.
