My mom loves seafood and she always wants to go the Crazy Lobster. But I'm not a huge fan. We went to Superior Seafood yesterday and it was really good. Any other seafood places like it that are at a reasonable price range (20 a entree or less).

any recommendations? My friend told me Rio Mar is really good.

Thanks

My mom loves shrimp and fish
Stepfather likes all seafood
I would like crawfish or crab personally.

The crazy lobster is a tourist trap restaurant on the boardwalk. Its not the best.

Your mom is wise. Don't fight her impulse on this, you won't regret it. Best seafood in NOLA.

Wasn't the Crazy Lobster in that Mystery Diner show when they did a string of Nola restaurants?

This is where it is tricky. Peche is tops and it's only slightly more expensive. Rio Mar and GW Fins are both quality joints I'm sure but you're looking at a more hefty bill.

Casamento's, as Gris suggested, would be a clutch choice. Also check out places out in Harahan/Metairie/Lakeview: The Galley, Seither's, Sassafras, etc.

Most of the small plates at Peche are generous. We ordered 12 dishes, one of which was an entree and one a dessert. Had 3 cocktails and two wines. $200 with tax for 4 people and we didn't eat it all. We did sort of a tasting if our own. I found pricing to be very reasonable.
