Skillet
Griddle
Cast iron
Oven
Microwave

I like cooking it on foil in the oven at about 400 for 15 minutes-give or take.

Griddle. Put it on while the griddle is cold and turn to medium heat. Comes out perfect every time. Then I cook my eggs on it with the rendered grease.

Skillet mostly. Baking it is the best method however, in my opinion.

Two ways really(three if you look at one from a particular view point) In the oven gives a greater amount of bacon that takes little attention(the nuke box the same) to cook and leaves a very clean rendered amount of grease behind to use later. For a small amount to cook it goes in a cast iron skillet.

Who cooks bacon any more? Get Oscar Mayer pre-cooked slices and zap for one minute in the microwave. Instant gratification and no grease to dispose of.

Why in the frick would you "dispose" of well rendered bacon grease? Are you a cooking dumbass?

Oven method is easy & mess free. I crumple up foil, lay bacon out, cook at 400 for about 15 minutes, crumpled foil keeps bacon from "sitting" in grease, grease is easily drained off off pan for use later if you want.

Just place on a cookie sheer that has a lip and that is lined with tin foil. When cooked how you like it, take bacon off, pour grease into container for later use, and your cookie sheet has almost zero cleanup after simply throwing away the tin foil.

Bacon cooked this way tends to stay flat and cooks really evenly with no flipping. The grease is very clean, too.

I have 5 (soon 6) children, so cooking on the stovetop is not quick enough.

We do oven bacon much like you do.

You must be one of them old time Catholic families with that brood. The rhythm method is the reason for SOLA families being as large as they were once before. White folks can't dance worth a shite.

I read somewhere that a good method is to put a small amount of water in your skillet when you begin. The heat renders out the fat and the water keeps the bacon from shriviling. By the time the water evaporates, the bacon is cooking in it's own grease and crisps up nicely.

This is what I read. I haven't tried it, though.

It's similar to the way I cook sausage in a skillet. Start with a little water, poke holes in the skin. Loosely cover. The grease renders out, the water evaporates and you brown the sausage in it's own fat. Delicious!
