depends on what you want.
Nice sit down restaurant: Cafe des Amis in Breaux Bridge
family burger joint: Judice Inn
boudin place: Poche's
pizza dive: Blackjack's (BJ's)
nicer pizza place: Deano's

If you've never been there, Prejean's is consistent, and good. It doesn't have a light menu. I try to hit is once a year when we travel through that area.

Looking more for local establishments as opposed to chains. Seafood, barbecue, and/or maybe a diner type place

T-Coons

This is a rock solid lunch. You won't leave hungry. Cafeteria style buffet. They used to make their own sandwich buns. I'm not sure if they still do.

My opinion, skip Prejeans. And do these
Social
Ruffino's
Jolie's
T Coons
Brick and Spoon
Pamplona
Old Tyme
La Pagua
Taco Sisters
Johnson's Bouconaire
St Street Inn
Bread and Circus
Shade Tree Cafe
Morvant's (Youngsville)
Twins Bakery
Pizza Village, Deano's, JJ's Pizza (in Broussard)
^^ Pizza places. I don't really care for the style, but most people consider them the best around

Follow this guys recs. if I had to pick a couple from the list I'd go with Social and Jolie's for dinner; Johnson's and Taco Sisters for lunch.
