Stupid question, Why does LSU always have extremely short players?

Our team just doesn't look like a "baseball" team. I've noticed over the years we have extremely short players. Any expert care to tell me why I'm stupid?

Always?
Smaller strike zone = more walks
Smaller strike zone = more walks

Who's short besides Ibarra and Robertson?

Trindon Holliday would have been an automatic walk every time.

I've noticed that also. Maybe it's better for playing 'small ball' to have little players. We always look like the high school JV team playing a big time college team.

Several starters are under 6'

Miles screwed up not putting Trindon at DH.

PM seems to prefer smaller stature players for whatever reason.

Doesn't really matter, height doesn't necessarily equate to power.

This is not a stupid question at all. I've often wondered myself what the fascination is with shorter players in the lineup. It's bad enough the bats have no power, but the players have no power either. Because they're a bunch of dwarfs.

LOL - Its often the stockier guys that have the most power

This team is undersized,if you don't believe that contributes to a lack of power you're being nieve.

I disagree. The team has power in Scivique, McMullen, Chinea, Ibarra, and Bregman. They're just not making solid contact enough.
But we've got plenty of beefy guys, so being undersized isn't the problem.

big stocky guys have more power than little bitty stocky guys. Or just big dudes in general, stocky or not, have more power. I think Marinari likes little dudes that might be contact hitters or can get walks, maybe little dudes faster and sneakier also (trindon) can get some steals. Just try to move them around the bases and get a run here or there in theory. Maybe squeak out a win. I would go with bigger more athletic guys who can smack the ball and who generally have stronger arms and are rangier.

Cause Pauly recruits players similar to his physical build

You should become an analyst.
