Ochinko was 5'11. Micah Gibbs was 5'11. Ryan Schimpf was 5'9. Tyler Hanover was 5'6" and made as good of contact as most players on the team. Fell short on homers, but he batted over .300 in 3/4 seasons if I'm not mistaken. The 6' line in baseball just isn't a very good one, in my humble opinion.

if you are right about LSU being short it must be because they are not tall , small ball requires shorter players perhaps !

The players just don't look like baseball players. Looks like a jv basketball team

I know it's been a rough day, but you sound like you've been self medicating a little too much.

We have a problem at the plate, but I don't care if they're 6'5 or 5'4, it's not going to make a difference.

This is LSU. We run athletes out there, not scrappy, overachievers, like CPM is trying to do. He seems to be recruiting players that remind him of himself lately.
It wasn't that long ago that our 2b/ss was 6'4.

I think it's less about height and more about size relative to strength.

Maybe more weight training in the offseason will turn weak grounders and lazy fly balls into hits.
Out guys are all slight build. Add some muscle and lets see what happens.
