Advertising question: can irritating people possibly work?

Bohn Ford and some Nissan place is running ads all. The. Friggin. Time.
They all suck.

Case in point: Price LeBlanc. Bought spots by the trainload on anything moving. Sold an equivalent tonnage of cars.

I barely hear or see ads since I never watch or listen to anything that is live. You need to get on that and reduce the annoyances in your life.

In TV, pricing is based on frequency. The more ads the less dollars per spot.

Politicals ads succeed by claiming the "other side" is up to no good, which irritates the faithful.

I would say any quality that stands out from the crowd (including irritating people) sell products. Look at the Shamwow guy and the guy with $ signs all over his suits in those old infomercials.

Infomercial products are priced at cost or below cost to get the name in your head. They make the real money when it hits the stores at twice the price.
