I'm caving in. Wife has been wanting one. So ... it's now going to happen.

Any contractor recommendations in the Baton Rouge area? Who should I stay away from?

I don't relish the idea of cleaning two kitchens.

Surprisingly yes. I'd rather hold on to my money.

Just like washing, drying and ironing, I don't. I'm married.

I've given myself a budget of $30K. Will be interesting to see if we can hold to this number or less.

I did one last year. 30K is a nice budget. What are you wanting in it and do you need a whole new structure or is it going under an existing area?
Don't miss out on a green egg. Love mine and use it more than the 3k built in gas grill.

You want it custom made out of brick? Or one of the pre-fab'd frames with a stucco finish (can be bricked over too)?

That seems really high. I think you could do it for 10 or so depending on how fancy your fixtures and whatever appliances you want out there are.

Do you put a dishwasher out there too?

It's 72 outside that's why. When it's 102 in July it won't be the same story.

I already have a Primo Oval XL that I will use along with a gas grill insert, sink, refrigerator and Sonic (yes - wife's request) style ice maker. May add a gas line for large crawfish pot.

Completely custom with brick, metal room, cypress wood on the underside, etc..
