I would recommend going to Kamado Guru to get some advice and ideas for your outdoor set up. I highly recommend a Big Kamado and a fire pit.

My wife wants one, but she wants to turn the back wall of the living room into completely retractable double sliding doors so it turns the living room into an indoor-outdoor living space. Thinks a $50k budget for this pure luxury item is reasonable.

I'm all like

Oh yeah, fire pit too is on the wish list, along with a separate dining area and pergola.

Done that twice. Haven't bought anything, yet.

Did not know they price matched. Will certainly look at this when the time comes.

Do they work better off cash?

I was in there the other day and overheard someone with a $2k budget and they were working numbers, so it appears that at least there is negating room...

Connect the structure to your house and put a few a/c vents in for when it gets hot.

You laugh but I saw someone in CCL who had done it. Can't help but laugh at some people.

My recent build.
LINK

Definitely check out Shoppers Choice.

I went with galvanized steel framing, concrete board/stucco, and granite tops.

Nothing will burn or rot. Back wall board is treated lumber with a composite 1x12 board, no rot no paint.

Just hose it all out.

Lets see
Square 18 x 18 structure

8 x 8 corner posts, 12x12 pitch metal roof, exposed treated 2x6 rafters, upside T-111 for exposed decking

Slab say $2000

All lumber say $2000, metal roof $2,500

Labor for guy to frame , roof and build structure $2,200

Cabinets and granite, $3,500

I did all the electrical and plumbing. Ran a 60 amp main to it, into 3 20 amp breaker box.

Its completely detached from house.

Numbers are approximate but not far off.

The guys that built the cabinets, were from shoppers choice. I lined the other folks up.

And oh, Im a simple CHARCOAL guy.

Cant see it but I do have a little NG, Wolf burner, that'll burl crawfish.

Cant tell, but shutters are real "bahama" style shutters. Aluminum, powdercoated

I've seen it done many times and not just in CCL. If done right can lower the outside temp 10-15 degrees. The problem is you have to have a zone system on your inside existing unit or install an new unit for the outside. Not to bad if you entertain a lot but still seems like a waste to me.

30 K may be a little low. The kitchen is the most expensive room in a house and same goes for an outdoor kitchen. Would this be a free standing structure or attached to the existing house? Under the existing roof line? Many different variables that play into cost of this. But if you have your appliances already you will save yourself a huge chunk of coin so you may be able to stay close to that budget.

I will buy my own appliances. Already have the Primo so that helps.
