Buddy making his fiance sign a prenup that says no children.

Any lawyers out there that can explain to me how this would work. I've asked a lawyer friend of mine in real life but he refused to comment. Everyone else I asked says its unenforceable. Its also extremely fricked up because she is dying for children but obsessed with him so she'd sign some shite like that.

You think she thinks he'll really change his mind later?
What the guy is doing is a total dick move and just wrong imo. Be a man and just say you don't ever want kids and you will never change your mind and that if she can't accept that to give the ring back.

Point is....she shouldn't be saying I do to someone that isn't willing to give her what she wants...children.
You can't compromise on that issue. You either do or don't. Yes...some people do change their mind later on. But to marry someone in hopes this will happen...is a stupid gamble.

Sounds like your buddy's wife is going to have to start poking holes in condoms. Or "forget" to take birth control. I always "lol" when the guy doesn't want kids and the woman does. If a woman wants kids, she WILL get pregnant. Had a friend of mine go through that. Though, it all worked out for the best, because he's crazy about his son.

I have no clue. They mentioned it in passing. She has to give up the thought of children and he has to give up some stupid stuff. It's not an even trade. I just don't see how it would be enforceable in a freaking prenup. My lawyer friend in the past said that prenups are so easy to get around that they're a waste of time in his opinion.

To be honest is not really a dick move at all IMO.. he's being completely honest. Sadly, some women are evil, will marry for money, get pregnant on purpose and then divorce a guy for paycheck and child support....
Lets be honest.. condoms suck, and women have multiple more choices for preventative childbirth than men...
If the guy doesn't want children, or isn't sure he does, then why should he have to undergo surgery to make sure he prevents it in case said wife decides she wants to stop taking the pill and lie about it.

But he knows she really wants children. He is totally ok with making her give up something she wants to marry him.
When you truly love someone....you want them to be happy.
A real man would break it off and tell her to find a man that wants to be a parent as badly as she does. He would do that cause he loves her and realizes how important children are to her.
