Atlanta Falcons Their goal was to get bigger and tougher on their defensive and offensive lines. And they did. They added guard Jon Asamoah to the offensive line and Tyson Jackson and Paul Soliai to the defensive line as they transition to more 3-4 looks. That's three big bodies. They also re-signed four of their own, which will help. Grade: B+

Carolina Panthers They have done very little while losing what some say is a lot. They lost both starting receivers in Steve Smith and Brandon LaFell and starting corner Captain Munnerlyn and safety Mike Mitchell. Ted Ginn also left. But Smith is aging -- he had just four 20-plus catches last season -- and LaFell is just a guy. Munnerlyn is solid, but not special. Mitchell was on a one-year deal. The only signing of note was former Saints safety Roman Harper. He's a box safety who struggles in coverage. They did tag and sign defensive end Greg Hardy, which was their best move. Grade: C+ (Hardy brings it up)

New Orleans Saints The Saints were up against the cap, but they made a big splash by signing safety Jairus Byrd. He will add range to the secondary, which they needed. He did cost a ton. The re-signing of right tackle Zach Strief was huge for the line. They also signed Tampa Bay fullback Eric Lorig. Why? Grade: C+

Tampa Bay Buccaneers They are the class of 2014. They loaded up on good players, which I mentioned above, and they played the cap the right away by getting rid of Revis. Grade: A

So I may be a homer for my team, but let me see if I get this right...Atlanta signs two players who can't rush the passer, which they sorely needed, and gets a B+. Carolina loses all their receivers, basically their entire O line, and signs Roman Harper, and ties with the Saints. The Bucs...eh...quantity isn't quality and never has a team signed a boat load of players and all of them work out the next year. I'll always remember how the Redskins were the "preseason champs" and well...

And the Saints. We sign the #1 player available in free agency, a RT that was regarded as stable and the #1 RT according to PFF, and why a fullback? Oh, because we don't have one you fricking frick!

Yeah, I'm mad.

I wouldn't post his stuff anymore. It's obviously intentional.

I figured if I was mad, others should be mad as well.

I agree, these rankings are silly. It's a good thing they don't matter.

So they get points for this shite but we don't for retaining Graham, THE BEST TIGHT END IN FOOTBALL?

Obvious bias is obvious.

Look, we can make fun of New Orleans residents/Saints fans/LSU fans and their supposed persecution complex until the cows come home.
Yes, it's funny to say "ESPN hates the Saints."

But Pete Prisco legitimately hates the Saints.
I mean, it's patently obvious when you read what he writes.

I don't think Panthers fans would give the Panthers anything more than a D-

They've really downgraded. Got way weaker in the secondary. No receivers. Cam just had ankle surgery.

I got his show in Jacksonville for years. He fancies himself as some great talent evaluator. He live Mike Smith because he would come on his show while he was jville d coordinator, Payton and company were also a dick to him apparently on one of his "camp tours." He went from calling Payton the best lay caller in football to supremely butthurt after the SB. Holding a grudge like a 13 year old girl.

Falcons is too high. They had more holes than they filled. They added a hole at safety and still have some on both lines(need a pass rusher and a LT for sure). Plus Jackson sure didn't look that great last year, and their corners are suspect.

Panthers is also (waaaayyyyyyyy)too high. You sign one guy who is on the decline and has an obvious flaw for his position, and you lose two starting secondary players, your top 4 receivers, and not to mention still have holes on the offensive line and somehow that gets you a C+?

We're too low, but I would not give us an A. We kept almost every important piece or replaced them with an upgrade outside of center. I know that will likely be a draft fill, but it still leaves us with a hole. But oh yeah, we only signed one of, if not the, top FAs. Maybe B+, especially given where we started(worse than Carolina) on the cap.

I agree with Tampa's grade. They've added some quality and haven't lost anything outside of part time players. Whether it pays off we'll see, but they haven't done anything wrong, especially considering they replaced Revis for less than half the price with a player that was a better scheme fit(though not as good, but close).

Yup. I really do think he has trouble being objective. I know it's impossible for me to sound objective but that's really what I think.

ESPN hates the saints because it brings in ratings (and ESPN caters to bigger markets). That is totally scripted and intentional because its all about ratings.

Prisco just hates the saints because SP probably banged prisco's mom

There are a gazillion reasons to be mad but reacting to anything this a-hole writes is not one of them. CBS Sports, and Prisco in particular, is the absolute worse source for information on the net; they make Bleacher Report look like the Holy Grail of sports.

He's the same moron last season that predicted Atlanta would trounce us in the division and the Saints would be the same or worse than the previous year. Truly an idiot.
