Looks like a juvenile chicken snake to me, but far from an expert.

Not cool for the OB. Prepare for the rodent invasion.

First off, don't kill good snakes.

Secondly, take English as a second language.

Pretty sure its a banded water snake. Def not a king snake. It was definitely not poisonous.

looks like a water snake to me also , but water moccasins do look similar .....

but the water snake has a thin body , a water moccasins that size would have a thicker body , way bigger than its head...

Does the 7.5 include the fact she is a girl and is 9?? Thought for sure it would have been over 8 especially since I made sure to include feet!

Sorry for killing good snakes.. There is a garter snake that is still around, surprisingly it's over 3 feet in length.. Biggest garter snake I've seen..

English is not a problem.. It's autocorrect!
