re: In the market for an atv - Bonnie Blue
I have a Yamaha Grizzly 450. For me it came down to either the Rancher or the Grizzly. The Yamaha seemed to offer more than the Honda and I had a couple of mechanics recommend the Yamaha over the Honda. I'm happy with my choice. I have not had issue number 1 with the Yamaha in 6 years. I also h...

re: Camping group in BR? - Bonnie Blue
Used to do the Bogue Chitto few times in the kayak/canoe every summer before I moved to Tennessee. Put in well into Mississippi and get out near the Pearl. Several places along the way to get out and get ice and beer. It is one of the things I miss the most about living in Folsom. I love that da...

re: OT Runners - Bonnie Blue
I loved the Ghost 6, bought the 7 and did not like them at all. Bought the Launch2 and liked them alot and should have stuck with them, but decided on Pure Flow and I really injured my foot after my first long run (15). This was about 10 days ago and my foot is not improving much. I am running Ra...

re: Biking 30 miles in sept and need advice - Bonnie Blue
I've done several centuries and find the best thing for me has been peanut butter and honey sandwiches. Bonk breakers are ok too. I like plain ole bananas as well. Screw those cliff bars. For 30, I wouldn't bring much-- eat a little before and you should be good....

re: OT Runners: Quick Question - Bonnie Blue
If on the outside of your knee, it could be I-T band issues. I've been struggling with that for a while now. Sounds like similar issues that I have. I found stretching and foam roller have helped quite a bit. ...

re: General Backpacking Thread - Bonnie Blue
Look at the Eagle Rock Loop Trail in Arkansas. About 30 miles or so with some pretty nice elevation change. Get an internal frame pack no question. I've had Gregory packs, Osprey packs, and Lowe Alpine packs. I personally like either Gregory or Osprey. For 2 weeks, depending on how long between...

re: Campers of the OT - Bonnie Blue
Take a look at Savage Gulf about 45 north of Chattanooga, essentially 3 separate loops that are joined by connector trail. Prob about 55 miles or so total. Its by far the nicest in middle tennessee in my opinion and i've hiked quite a few trails here....
