What realistic free agents would you like to see us sign?

I'm thinking if we can get Strief, Edelman, and Browner on board it would leave us in a pretty good spot going into the draft.
Who's on your list of remaining free agents you'd like to see in Black and Gold?

We could sign Peyton to backup Brees if necessary.

I think if you can get Strief under a 3 year deal, you could also get one other impact player and feel good heading into the draft. You'd probably just see Humber and Morgan type signings after that.

We'll sign 2 more big names at the most. Edelman costs too much for a WR. Strief and Browner would be great at the right price...we just don't have that much money

If anyone said the Saints would be signing Byrd on Day 1 of free agency they'd have been laughed at.
With Loomis, anything is realistic.

Strief and a competant pass-covering LB (Haralson...) and I think we're set for the draft.

If we want a guy bad enough we'll make room. But after Byrd we are going to be very selective about it.

I don't get what people see in Edelman. He's a decent player, but he isn't the type of receiver that we need imo.

With Lance gone he'd be a better option than Tanner. Not saying we should because he'll likely be overpaid somewhere.
Stills could fill Moore's role but he's versatile and shouldn't be boxed in like that.
We also need a big body guy to replace Colston soon, but I think they are still high on Toon(much higher than most here are anyway).

I guess that I see Stills filling that Moore role. I think last year we saw him playing more of the deep plays because we didn't have anyone else who could come close to being that big play downfield threat. A more versatile Moore I guess is how I see him.
The need I'm probably most concerned about on offense, besides making sure that Brees stays protected, is the big play wr that's a threat to break one at any time to stretch the defense. I don't see that type of player in FA anyway, so I'm really looking to the draft for that.

We still don't have a deep threat outside of Stills so it would actually hurt us if he was forced to take on more of Moore's role.
With Toon in the wings, while I'd like a better big body guy to replace Colston I really think we need more of a speed guy to help stretch the field(as you said)
If we could find another Stills that'd be great.

I wish we could find about.. 3 more Stills. That'd set us for a while

With Byrd only costing us 3.5M against the cap this year, it still leaves us room to make another deal. If we can't get Browner, I think we use the rest of our money to resign Strief and possibly bring Lance Moore back

Sorry dude, Lance Moore is done. I'm with you on Strief though
