OT mechanic question: leak that apparently destroyed stuff in my engine

so i'm driving and i start to smell some type of electrical burn, and see white smoke. i notice a slight drop in brake pressure, but am almost home. my car shuts down at a red light, but restarts and i make it the half-mile home (with normal brake pressure back).
i look inside and see this green shite (which i was assuming was coolant) all over the place:
but that doesn't really explain the shutdown or the slight drop in brake pressure. so i look closer and see this, and it looks like some acid or really hot liquid was spilled here. wires and the connector appear melted to the point of coming apart:
on the under-side of a hose right above this i see the following:
this is coolant right? if so how could it have done this damage? and why would that hose have burst? my manual doesn't indicate what the hose is for, or what the component with the melted wires is.

Have you recently purchased a life insurance policy?

not a mechanic but I've never seen coolant that dark of a green before.

Looks like a coolant leak cause as short in that electrical plug, which caused it to melt the plug and the wires. The short may have caused the engine to idle really low which would cause low brake pressure.

It looks like coolant.
looks like electrical fire burned a hole in the line.

Idk what that is. I'd guess water because of the size of the line and being green, but it doesn't look quite right.
Put a pile of dynamite under it and blow it to the moon.

White smoke is steam. No doubt it's coolant.

Is there any coolant left in the car?

thanks yall. can anyone tell from the first pic what the component is that got the short and now has the melted plug? my manual is just not helpful. it is in the corner that is closest to the driver

Report it to your insurance co. as a fire loss and see what happens. Tell them the radiator hose burst with resulting electrical short and fire due to the water escaping the cooling system. Worst case they deny the claim.

Why is there an electric motor mounted on the side of the brake distribution block?
I don't think I have ever seen that before, or just didn't notice. I would guess that your short is somehow related to that.

Or they pay it and drop him or pay it and raise his rates.

Have you ever seen anyone boil water in a paper cup, using a cutting torch?
