Time to get some new shoes for big green.

In this picture it's wearing 33x12.5r15 BFG KM2's. There's definitely room for more meat under there, but I'm pretty happy with the 33's. It still pulls really well and anything bigger is going to land me a re-gear from 3.73 to 4.56

So the options are pretty much anything. I have about a 20 minute drive to my camp and it still sees a little bit of road time (probably 5k miles a year). The rest of the time it's either being a log skidder, lauching boats on a pipeline, or pulling my stuck friends out of places they shouldn't have tried to go.

Right now I'm leaning toward some traditional bias ply super swamper LTB's in 34x10.5 with some stock Z71 rims. Boggers intrigue me, but I'm not sure how the tread life compares to regular TSLs?

Stay with 15s, your wheels look good, you could always have them powdered coated flat black - I have always put BFG mud terrains on my jeep - not as aggressive as other mud terrains, not as noisy, wear really good.

I liked the BFG's, but I want something more aggressive since it isn't my DD anymore.

The only thing I don't like about my rims is how wide they are. They're 11" wide which means anything I put on them needs to be at least 12.5" wide.

Stock Z71 wheels for your body style, or newer Z71 wheels?

Newer and of the junkyard variety. Only if I get narrower tires though.

Not that it matters because I ain't paying for it, but I'm not a fan of newer wheels on older trucks. Don't know why, just don't like it. IIRC, the stock wheels for your truck were only 16x7 or 8, newer ones may be an inch wider, but I don't know.

I thought you were ridding yourself of that problem and getting a 2015?

Same. I was pricing them at SAMS and about had a heart attack when I saw the price. I did the old Red Foxx, "This is the big one!!!" as I clutched my chest.

The LTB's are awesome tires for off road traction. If you are only putting 5-6K hard surface miles on them each year, you will love them!

I'm gonna stick with my suggestion of 33x13.50r15 LTBs

Boggers suck arse in the lateral traction department

It's crazy. Last time, Sam's had nothing I could use. Ended up with Bridgestones from Sears similar to the OEMs. Did not last worth a flip.

TSL's are great. Especially if your not putting a lot of road miles on the. I've got Toyo open country on my hunting truck but it still gets a good many road miles. They've done well. Have about 35,000 on them.

Had TSL's on old camp truck that dry rotted before they wore out. Lol
