re: Pool installation - Fetch78
As a pool builder in Houston, I would highly recommend avoiding salt. Salt is extremely hard on materials and will rust anything metal in your backyard. Look into a ozone/nature2 system. Will run about 1parts per million on chlorine. Easiest to maintain and best system available. I would recommend t...

re: Pool decking - Fetch78
If it comes with a Polaris 280, ask them to swap for the 9350. Their cost is basically the same and the 9350 is much better. As far as the price, it all depends on the tonnage of rock waterfall you have. You can figure $1,000 a ton is what you should pay. What is the sq footage of the decking? Tha...

re: Pool decking - Fetch78
That's an average sized pool. How old are your kids? I understand the basketball/volleyball but if they are younger, that may change. I'm not saying to go 10ft, but 7 is good if they will be jumping in later. The problem with a sport pool is you are almost always standing on a slope. If you stay w...

re: Pool decking - Fetch78
Don't see anything wrong with that but obviously don't know price he's charging you. Jandy is what we use. I believe it's the best equipment available. Look into the ozone/fusion system. I will tell you that most people that build a sport pool (shallow, deeper in middle, then shallow again) tell...

re: Pool decking - Fetch78
What's the pool perimeter? Talk to builder about an ozone/fusion system. Old style chlorine pools are are a pain. Salt water is hard on materials and will rust anything outside around the pool. Pebble finish is the way to go. Either Pebbletec or Wet Edge Pebble. Our standard dig is 3.5 on shallow,...

re: Outdoor Kitchens - Fetch78
When you find a builder, ask if they do carve stone. It's a non slid surface. Should be able to do any color, any pattern. Stamped concrete will be very slick when it first gets wet. If you have kids, can be dangerous. Stamped will also fade much faster. I build pools and outdoor kitchens in Tx. We ...
