Here is a NOLA article related to the non-profit situation. Why do we have to make things so damn difficult.

I'm gonna have to get my keg to you or someone else the night before. Won't make the pre-party until very close to gate opening time.

You have to protect that three tier system...

That shouldn't be a problem. I transferred the cider into the bourbon barrel last night...a bit later than I wanted to, but life gets in the way sometimes.

It had fermented down to 1.002 though, so that part went well.

Ehh, I look at this a bit differently. The distributor houses are constantly, constantly, being asked to provide free alcohol for events. That arm of the three tier system wields the most influence. Perhaps they got tired of giving out free stuff. You do the math.

A cider? I am disappointed.

All my big brewing equipment is in storage while we try to sell the place.

A cider only takes a fermenter and a keg (and in this case a barrel in between)... no boiling, no chilling... less stuff.

I ended up having to be at home with a "sick" baby, so I will brew the espresso for the Tiramisu Porter in a few minutes and add to the keg. Might as well.

There is really only one more hurdle for us to get over before I will say that we are "ready" for the festival. And while putting the canoe together is the biggest hurdle, it was expected so I am not concerned.

I am pumped, weather looks to be great. Hoping it doesn't storm too much tomorrow night. Good times will be had by all.
