Had the special at the local deli. They assured me it was authentic...

Not sure about authentic (well, I am sure), but the in-house made meats were dynamite...

Bonus points if those are indeed Zapp's chips.

Doesn't look exactly authentic as compared to the original muff that Johnny of Johnny's pizza fame invented. But I would eat it.

No Zapps.

Oregon's version of Zapp's is called "Tim's". Pretty good, actually. Same crunch, but alas, no Crawtators... Same style of bag, tho...

Oh contraire monfrare. That is an authentic Johnny's pizza house pic taken by yours truly. They cut their buffet pizza's in triangles. Not exactly sure why they deviate from the rectangle for the buffet, but they do.

I would give it a try for sure. The olive salad looks a little different than what I use but...

I ever told y'all the stories of how my grandmother in law and Johnny use to run 5&10k runs?

Anyway they were neighbors and are still good friends....
Long story short : it's been a 25+ years since I've paid for a pizza from him

.... Ok back to the regular thread

Those olives don't look good. Who cares if it's authentic if it taste good.

Doesn't look too bad actually. Lots of meats and cheese. The olives don't look too appetizing, but I can only handle a little olive at a time.

Good policy. There seems to be a drop off in quality in their buffet pies. They're not bad, like BJ's pizza bad, but not exactly the real deal either.
