It's the Antonov 225.

This beast is an engineering marvel and it's unbelievable it's still flying with the outdated technology on board. The russians sure built it to last.

I think it was for the transport of their space program components. It was also built in the 80's so it isn't that old

Each tire cost approx $1000 USD and have to be changed every 10 or so cycles. You can also fit a 737 fuselage in the cargo hold.

Nice. Thanks for posting. I honestly was under the impression that that the A380 was the biggest plane flying.

Strangely enough, it's the only one of its kind ever built and completed and that's a shame. It's a magnificent flying machine and it looks deceptively slow when it takes off.

I'd fly on it.

This is the plane AN 225 have to captain for 5 years before become a pilot on the worlds biggest aircraft.

That's what I'm saying. That plane is Russian and it looks every bit of Russian.
