Mid-size SUV other than Pathfinder

I was going to buy a new Pathfinder, but I just found out about all the transmission problems the 2013 and 2014's have. Nissan's fix is basically doing nothing other than if the dealership can find a problem they will put a refurbished transmission in for you which still has problems.
I can't buy a new vehicle knowing all these problems with nothing is being done.
Anyway need recommendations on a good 3rd row midsize SUV. TIA

MDX, XC90, Pilot.
Good choice, as the new Pathfinder is horrible looking. They turned it into some minivan-Mazda hybrid.

2014 Highlander is a redesign. Check it out.

4Runner FTMFW (wait - does it have a 3rd row?)

New Pilot seems a lot bigger than our 09 we had before. Wife loves it. It's not quite as nimble as the previous model, but it does all we need it to do.

That's what my second choice was but I'm driving a Chevy Malibu right now and I hate the dash and I hate the orange/red lights in the Acadia...I know so picky.

Subaru Forester. Top-rated by Consumer Reports for the past ten years.

Since the OP is looking at a Pathfinder, I'm assuming he wants three rows of seats.
The GMC Acadia and Chevrolet Traverse were updated recently. Seems like a lot or my coworkers are buying them this year. They seem very nice and very comfortable, but seem little expensive.
The new Explorer is good vehicle, but it looks like a giant running shoe to me. Much better than the Pathfinder though. I'd consider it too if the Ford guys are having sales.
There are really a lot of options in that segment. No reason you can't find a good deal with someone. The Buick Enclave and Acura MDX are nice if you want something a little fancier.
The Suburban is always a solid choice if you need to tow something or need low range four wheel drive. I think the Sequoia is a nice vehicle as well.

Pathfinder would have almost been your worst possible choice.
Explorer, 4runner, Pilot.

Really the hidden gem in this segment. Near-luxury price can be a bit much for some buyers.

Subaru Forester, Toyota Highlander, Acura MDX, Ford Explorer, Infiniti Q60, KIA Sorrento all get good reviews.
The Acadia gets very bad reviews.

I'm looking online at them and do they all have bucket seats in the second row? I was hoping for a bench seat. Also do the seats fold down completely flat?
