This was the last gun that my dad bought before he died. I've always loved these little .22. Did just a little research y-day and found out that this gun was first built in 1914

The Browning SA-22

I have a browning take down like that. My dad bought it for me in the early 90's sweet little rifle.

i have one, i added a new guide rod and spring, new bolt lock so you dont have to depress the release to get it to close, and a bolt buffer

The 10/22 takedown and the Henry Survival are both awesome choices for keeping in a go bag. For some reason I prefer the Henry, but I think that is because I think the concept is cooler. ETA: I didn't realize Browning had a takedown. That thing would be awesome to own.

10/22 in Camo at Dicks for $379. I might go get it.

I would like to get a henry survival .22 in the near future. I like the idea of it fitting in its own stock and being buoyant.

are they bad? They are much nicer here than anywhere else. Some places here are full of guys who think they are God's gift to the world of firearms.

My uncle and I shot his 10/22 and my 15-22 this weekend. Now he wants a 15-22 and I want a 10/22.

The other gun in my pic is a 10/22. Also have a 15/22. I would take a single SA-22 over both if the others together. I think it the best .22 semi ever produced as as I said the design is a lasting one as it's 100 years old.
