On tuesday I'm moving to London for a few months and trying to find a message board kind of like the OT dedicated for western European countries.
I did a search and can't find anything with high traffic. I tried to reddit but all I get are smart arse answers when I ask about pubs, museums, cultural stuff ect.
Does anyone have a site they can recommend, preferably in London.

Ask a local when you get there.
ETA:
This is really the only site you need. You can buy the magazine when you get there if you prefer a paper copy.

honestly, you can probably get pretty good info on here for that...
also, it sounds kinds cheesy, but I have had very good luck with the frommers guide books for each city...I always buy one when I move to a new city...

Flyertalk travel boards. Should have a sub-board in their European destination forum.

I bought one a few weeks back and gave it a good look.
Living in New Orleans i'm not really down with the touristy type stuff. I want to jump in and do what the locals do. I know I'll meet people there overtime that will have useful input but I'm really anxious to know what to do now. haha.

city- data has a Europe board but isn't high enough traffic to break it up into countries, much less metro areas.
Still might have a few threads worth reading though.

Do you know where you will be living? I can ask my son for recommendations, but he lived near the Tower of London in the financial district, so his favorite pubs, restaurants, etc may not be close to where you will be. I'll see if I can find a message board recommendation, though.

Where will you reside?

Pimlico
Of course I've researched the area but was wondering about some hidden gems I should know about before hand.

And you can get plenty of Stuart Holden pics from there too.

This is a decent site for expat info, although the message board is not very active. They also have sites for other European countries, but here is the UK site:
