just added the funk pioneer for a Gas Food Lodging fest appearance ..... not sure how to fit them on the stage, but should be fun.
Bernie Worrell, Rock & Rock Hall of Fame Inductee, Legend of Parliament Funkadelic and Member of the Talking Heads, is performing LIVE, with the BERNIE WORRELL ORCHESTRA. The show will feature songs from BWO's recently released EP, as well as Bernie's vast repertoire, including P-Funk and Talking Heads classics

BR is a better music city for having JW and Bowen at their respective helms
lee bains, john moreland, shovels and rope, and hurray for the riff raff in a 9 day period is pretty ridiculous though

More talent comes through mud and water than any other venue in the city without a doubt.
Bowen has drastically improved the varsity IMO but he still can't hold a candle to what m+w is doing

No BR for me in the near future ...... Got a call about Pitch Perfect 2 but won't work for my schedule. Hope to be home in Nola for a bit in April. Got some sweet things lining up for M+W and we appreciate the support. And I must say the varsity is not an easy venue to book and Alex is bringing it back from the casino decade of awfulness
