Can save about $100 on a tablet I'd like to buy if I buy a refurbished model. Manufacturer refurbished with a 90 day warranty. I've never bought refurbished before and I'm uncertain if it's a good idea.

What say the OT electronics gurus?

I bought my wife's Ipad refurbished for her b-day. She has no idea. No problems.

Depends on the type of product and the discount.

All the time. They already fixed what was about to go wrong with your new one.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 inch with a $75-$100 discount from the $350 original price.

what was the price difference and did get a warranty?
I did it once with a zune and it didn't workout well. Had a warranty , which I strongly suggest

I should probably mention that it's through Amazon via a 3rd party seller.

Manufacturer refurbished

Every time. Had great experiences thus far. I've almost exclusively bought manufacturer refurbed stuff since about '05.

I will if it's from amazon or newegg cause they'll bend over backwards for me if there's a problem.

I bought both my laptop and desktop as refurbished items and have been very happy with them.
