spinoff: do you use ear protection when duck hunting?

also, for reference, note your normal hunting situation (public flooded timber, public marsh, rice field lease, etc...)

ETA: no, i don't but most of the time i am in public flooded timber and i oftentimes hear the ducks before i see them so i'm hesitant to try earplugs.

Never wear then. Hunt in the marsh and ag fields.

They make some that actually enhance hearing but cut off anything over 80 decibals.

Public fields and timber and I never wear them. When I hunted in pits this year I wish I had a pair of the electronic muffs.

huh ....... I should but do not. Marsh and field. Dont wear them bird hunting either. I wear them religously when skeet/clays shooting

the in ear plugs that cut off high levels dont work - the over ear muffs do work. Get what u pay for

Not when hunting but always when target practicing or busting clays.

The ear muffs, yes. Have never tried the plugs.

Always running prodrives, I keep right plug always while hunting, if guys on left I use it also.

Where doesn't matter.

didn't hardly duck hunt all season, but for the couple of shots I take at geese each hunt, I don't both with ear plugs

Do when shooting, dont when hunting. My hearing is already horrible though.

I don't load the gun until these are in, vast majority of those I hunt with wear nothing. Their problem later in life, not mine.
